View from the coast path today down to Portwrinkle on the circular walk to Sheviock. 3.8 miles graded moderate.

The initial route to Sheviock is on small, quiet farm lanes. The route then passes through Sheviock via the churchyard to join a footpath. The path leads through woods along the stream, past the fishing lake to reach Crafthole. After skirting around the Finnygook Inn, the walk crosses the golf course to the Coast Path and follows this past Finnygook Beach to return to the tiny harbour at Portwrinkle.

The route includes an approx. 350 metre stretch along the edge of the A374 through Sheviock which can be busy at peak times.

This morning’s swim was Mediterranean - Tregonhawke beach is a little piece of heaven in the summer. The walk down and up ensures it doesn’t get too busy. It’s so worth it for those who make the trip. An a treat at the Cliff Top Cafe afterwards is surely deserved
