The Grand Hotel has been welcoming guests to Torquay’s seafront since 1881, becoming one of the most recognisable landmarks on the English Riviera.

Over the decades, it has hosted generations of holidaymakers, witnessed the changing face of the bay, and remained a cherished part of Torquay’s history.

We love looking back at images like this and seeing how the hotel and surrounding waterfront have evolved through the years while continuing to hold a special place in the heart of the town.
