Characterful rural escape, 20 min drive to beach

We had a fabulous family day out at the Eden Project yesterday. Beautifully plants & scenery and our 4 year old loved the play areas and the new marble runs.
It's an hour and a half drive from Hazel Cottage.
Even better is that it is free entry for RHS members during certain months and under 5s get in for free!

There are still tickets available for the coastal cruise this Friday, 19th June departing Bideford at 10.00am. The two hour cruise to Ilfracombe takes in the beautiful North Devon coastal line.

Bideford Fair, Mayor's Parade and Cream Tea Festival

The day begins in spectacular style with a Sheep Drive across Bideford’s historic Old Bridge, courtesy of the Institute of Weavers and Shearers, followed by the Mayor and civic party processing through the town. From there, the celebrations continue with something happening at every turn…
