Bore da, morning my lovelies, and apologies that I've been quiet this week - still trialling a few different social media scheduling tools to see what works best so I don't have any more gaps, but running a small business always gets in the way of running a small business 🤣

Anyway, this one's for the dogs. Cadair View Lodge has always been fiercely dog-friendly, with most of our cabins welcoming up to 2 dogs. Every dog gets a little welcome basket with a new tennis ball, some poo bags, a few treats and a custom made tick removal tool made exclusively for us right here in Trawsfynydd by Hairy Dog Crafts. There will be a fresh bowl of water to greet thirsty dogs after a long car journey, a letter from our own red lab Oakley with a few house rules and some walk recommendations, and details of Traws Dog Park/ Parc Antur Cwn and tarapetservices, two brilliant small local businesses whom we're proud to support. And if you've forgotten any dog essentials I'm just up the road and have spares of most things including leads, blankets and towels.

Above all we LOVE seeing your dog's holiday photos - this one of regular guest Alfie is one of my favourites, and I'm looking forward to welcoming him back this weekend. We have 4 Facebook groups for our log cabin guests and anyone else who's coming to visit the area. We share places to eat and drink, dog-friendly stuff, local shops and producers, and ideas for activities and days out. Bore da, morning all 😁

I'm having a rare break from the cabins, a trip to a spa hotel in Madeira with my bestie for my Big Birthday. Champagne for breakfast today because why not!

It's all reminding me of my former life working in a 5* hotel - and I've been inspired by some amazing members of staff. The receptionist who greeted us with a megawatt smile and remembered every tiny detail about us. The spa manager who welcomed me like an old friend even though she'd never met me before. The barman by the pool who looked after us despite - or in fact because of - a large group taking up his time and attention. And the breakfast room staff who glide in and out silently tidying things away and making sure we have everything we need. Less than 24 hours at The Views Baía and I already feel at home 💕

It's really re-energised my Hospitality Chip and I'm looking forward to spending more time chatting and checking in with guests at Cadair View Lodge Accommodation In Eryri this summer. But for now, cheers 🥂
