Olga Polizzi's hotel on the Cornish Coast Tresanton is a cluster of houses on the edge of St Mawes, one of the prettiest fishing villages in Cornwall.

Originally created as a yachtsmen’s club, in 1997 Olga Polizzi bought Tresanton and spent two years completely redesigning and restoring it. All rooms have stunning views across the sea towards St Anthony’s lighthouse. In addition to 30 rooms the hotel has a restaurant, bar, sitting room, cinema, playroom, children’s garden and a private yacht.

For over three decades, sculptor and lamp maker Hannah Woodhouse has shaped the world of sculptural lighting. Her plaster shell wall lights are a much-loved feature of the dining room at Tresanton. On Saturday 14 November, Hannah will be at Tresanton to share her journey from high fashion to working in a bronze foundry. Tickets are £60 and include a two-course lunch and a glass of w**e. This Sunday, join Olga Polizzi for a tour of the terraces at Tresanton in the company of Jon James, the talented landscape designer that brought the early garden to life from a sea of brambles. Our current hotel gardener, Marion Parish, will be on hand to bring the story up to the present day. After the tour, you are invited to join Olga for dinner. The evening is £115 including drinks on the Beach Club, dinner and half a bottle of w**e. Each guest will receive an envelope of seeds collected from our garden and a beautifully illustrated map.
