Unfortunately, we need to make some changes to this week's opening hours. Please see below for our updated hours for this week only.

We will be CLOSED for lunch on Thursday and Friday but will be open both evenings for dinner. We will also be open as normal on Saturday for both lunch and dinner.

We'll be back to our regular opening times next week, as advertised on our website. Thank you for your understanding and continued support 💙

Another of our favourite eateries is North Harbour Bistro 😋
It's a bit further away from Corncrake Holiday Cottage, but seriously worth the drive.
You would also be visiting the beautiful hebridean island of Scalpay ...make a day of it!

A lot of our lovely guests will recognise this road as the 'last stretch' of road before they arrive at Corncrake Holiday Cottage.

Obviously, this announcement is very concerning to us and we must start to think of the future of our business.
As a 'Holiday Cottage' it may be 'shrugged off' as not important by some of the public here on the island, but it is actually my source of income.

I suffer from MS which makes me almost impossible to employ, because of my 'unpredictable' condition.
This business keeps me employed, rather than unemployable. (Please no 'concerned' emojis) this is not a sympathy post. However, it is an absolutely realistic one!

At the moment, we have bookings up until the beginning of January 2028 (thank you) but still with some weeks available throughout this time.
We will of course honour those bookings and any other new bookings made before 2028, but for now, we will not be taking bookings after that time.

At this time, all we can do is let our guests know to be very careful when driving this stretch of road.
We will keep you updated if anything changes.
