Blackwell Barn Raydon

Blackwell Barn has underfloor heating throughout to give a constant warmth underfoot. The air source heatpump uses outdoor energy to circulate in water pipes. The heat output is easily controlled and preset.

Even though we don't have an alpaca experience offer, they remain delightful to look at from the barn windows and maybe a little closer.

We dont have alpaca experience to offer yet but they are just outside the window to observe. Bring a book but dont expect to have read it when you leave!

The nights are drawing in and making the underfloor heating throughout the barn really comfortable to return from walking or visiting in the area.

Stour Valley AONB featured on BBC's Countryfile this evening. The newly extended coastal AONB boundary now includes from Harwich to Manningtree on the south side of the river estuary. Manningtree is no more than 15mins drive from us. This now links up to the Dedham Vale AONB which virtually next door to us.
So much of nature to see and explore and so close.

Well here we are in lockdown but hopefully out again for December with crisp winter weather walks or bike rides to enjoy.

Getting the farm ready for winter we have created a new alpaca shelter. This allowed us to move the girls and sow grass in the bottom field.
Staying at Blackwell Barn means you get to see all this activity from the barn windows.
