I love this part of being a photographer more than I first thought - the down time between wedding seasons. Don't get me wrong, I love the start of the season followed by being in the swing of things. But, there is something about evaluating your past work that is a bit of an overlooked part of the practice of being a photographer.

From August 2025 onwards it's been impossible to find time to edit post-wedding. So, I made a conscious decision to shoot mostly 35mm film on wedding days leading to less editing time on the back end. Shooting wedding days entirely on 35mm film is exciting, I urge you to try it.

Weddings are always about the details and if you are exclusively using a 28mm focal length, you've gotta be damn close to it all. Moving forward, I refuse to have it any other way.
