Brought a little bit of the garden indoors today! 🌸🌿

Nothing brightens up a room like fresh-cut flowers gathered straight from our own borders. A lovely mix of colour and scent to welcome our guests and bring the beauty of the countryside inside.

Safe to say these are the biggest dogs we have ever hosted! 🐾🐻

These magnificent Bernese Mountain Dogs have arrived and they are absolute gentle giants. It is always a pleasure welcoming four-legged guests of all shapes and sizes, but these two definitely take the prize for the grandest presence on the yard!

Dog-friendly stays do not get much bigger or fluffier than this.

The first time I have baked shortbread biscuits since Mum came up! 🧈✨

Oh my goodness... pure buttery, crumbly perfection. I may or may not have already scoffed three while waiting for the rest to finish cooking! Total quality control, of course. Eek! 🙈☕

Nothing beats simple, homemade baking.

Making the most of the open trails! 🐎✨

Always brilliant to see our equestrian guests heading out from the yard to explore the stunning local bridleways and countryside. Miles of quiet routes right on our doorstep, followed by tired horses, relaxing hot tubs, and peaceful evenings back at the farm.

The ultimate break for riders and their four-legged companions.

Big moving day on the farm! 🐥🐾

Our little chicks hit three weeks old at the end of August, they are now more than ready to spread their wings in some spacious new accommodation!

They have officially outgrown the brooder, and Yogi has been taking his supervisor role very seriously, keeping a watchful, curious eye over every single one during the transition. Onwards and upwards, little ones! 🌿

Freshly baked mini coffee and walnut cakes cooling on the side. The perfect balance of rich coffee, crunchy walnuts, and sweet buttercream. Ideal for an afternoon pick-me-up with a proper brew.

Who could say no to one of these?

14 made fresh today... and just one left for the baker! 🧁✨

Nothing quite beats the smell of warm baking filling the farmhouse kitchen, especially when it is fresh honeycomb muffins. It would simply be rude not to test one with a cup of tea just to make sure they are up to standard, right? Pure perfection! ☕🍯

The rest are heading straight out to be enjoyed!

Zero food waste on the farm! 🍄✨
Waste not, want not. Any spare mushrooms are sliced, dried, and ground down into a rich mushroom powder. It adds the most incredible depth of flavour to autumn soups, stews, or even sprinkled straight onto roast potatoes! 🥔🍲
Small steps like this make kitchen life so much more sustainable (and delicious).

A rare visitor on the farm today! 🦚✨
We are used to hens, horses, and the local wildlife, but this handsome chap decided to take a stroll up the lane and drop by the decking for a quick check-up on the facilities!
You never quite know who—or what—will turn up around here. Safe to say he made himself right at home!

Harvest time on the farm! 🥕✨
Nothing beats pulling fresh carrots straight out of the soil. The best part? Absolutely nothing goes to waste around here. The carrots are heading into the kitchen, and the lush green tops are set to be a very popular treat with the horses! 🐴🥕
Zero waste and very happy animals—a win-win in the allotment!
