Far enough out to escape everyday hustle and bustle, but close enough to fantastic pubs, restaurants and visitor centres if you wish to explore. 🌲

We love recommending local delights to our guests and, although Wagtail is set in a beautiful area of peaceful countryside, we are so fortunate to have fantastic pubs and restaurants within a close drive.

✨ Milecastle Inn is one of our favourites - A welcoming, cosy atmosphere and delicious home cooked meals - We highly recommend the tender Sunday roasts and chocolate orange cake

✨ Twice Brewed Inn offers cracking b**r, brewed in-house. Our recommendation is a trio tasting b**r board paired with a Twicey burger or romana pizza, for a midweek treat.

✨ The Greenhead Hotel is our favourite nearby lunch spot - The interior is gorgeous, everything on the menu is delicious and their w**e menu ticks all our boxes 🥂

✨ If you are celebrating a special occasion or really love incredible food, we can’t recommend Hjem highly enough. It’s exceptional.
