The weather is looking dry, with even a bit of sunshine forecast — the perfect excuse to escape to the countryside and spend some time outdoors.

With miles of walks right on the doorstep, lovely local pubs nearby, and fully furnished eco tents ready for you to arrive and relax, there’s no need to pack all the usual camping gear.

Each eco tent also has its own private outdoor kitchen and shower room with a modern composting toilet — no shared facilities with other guests.

Sorry we’ve been a little quiet… it’s been *a week*.

An unplanned (and pretty mammoth) issue threw everything off track while we were getting the site ready for our first guests of the 2026 season. It’s been challenging, exhausting, and at times a real push to the finish line.

But… we did it. By the skin of our teeth, the site is now **open**, and we’ve welcomed 3 families for the bank holiday weekend 😅

We’re going to take a few days to recover — we’ll share more of the story soon.

For now, a big thank you to our guests this weekend for your patience and understanding — it really made things a little easier.

No screens. No rush. No demands.

Just open space, fresh air, and the kind of simple moments that somehow feel bigger when you slow down enough to notice them 🌿

Apparently we’ve now got a giant roaming the field and a suspiciously enthusiastic amount of mud.

We think our wheelbarrows are trying to tell us something... 😄

After 4 loyal seasons of carting luggage across the site for our guests, we found them like this at the end of last season. Wheels off, tipped up, piled on the field. Honestly? We think they'd just had enough 😂

They've worked hard, they've served the site well, and they absolutely deserve a rest.

But don't worry — a shiny new fleet is on its way. Keep an eye on the page to meet their replacements! ✨

Another day, another upgrade! 🚗

A big pile of hardcore plainings on site, ready to be spread and compacted down into a solid, fresh surface for the car park. One of those behind the scenes jobs that makes a really big difference to the whole experience from the moment you pull up.
(And yes, that's my car again. It has a habit of photobombing my social media posts 😄)

Last season things got a little muddy down here on a few occasions.

The car park is getting a proper upgrade and we're keen to see the finished result. No more muddy boots before you've even reached your tent! 🌿

Last year's cherry laurels are coming along beautifully 🌿
Yes that is my car door. No I did not mean to include it. Yes I'm posting it anyway 😄

Jokes aside — look how well these have grown and filled out already! We've been gradually adding cherry laurels to different parts of the site and they just transform the place. More privacy, more greenery, more nature.
