Tyne Valley Mountaineers The TVM was established over 20 years ago by a group of rock climbers from the Tyne Valley.

Outdoor First Aid attended by 11 TVMers.
Lots of excellent training from Alistair Myers which was much appreciated by the group. Hopefully we'll never need to use this knowledge but everyone welcomed this refresher course after 4 years! Thanks to Alison and Peter for providing such a great setting for the course!

Our group set out for the ridge walk on Rum but we knew that the winds were going to be brisk. Out of the group, 4 of us (Graham, Ian, Peter and Neil) managed to summit Barkeval and Alan and John climbed another nearby hill. Fortunately we managed to get back to the Bunkhouse before the rain came in the afternoon.

11 TVM ers enjoying our trip to the Bunkhouse on the Isle of Rum. The standard of catering is definitely up to past TVM meet highs! Weather a bit problematic with fresh winds and rain but fingers crossed for a weather window to attempt some of the tops on the ridge
