Had a wonderful morning singing for the residents of Swn-y-Mor Care Centre — sunshine, smiles, and songs floating through the garden. There’s nothing quite like sharing music with people who light up the moment you start the first note. Feeling grateful for every voice, every laugh, and every bit of joy we got to spread today.

A big, warm Afanté welcome to our five fabulous new members — you’ve already brought fresh energy, new laughter, and that extra sparkle to our sound. We’re absolutely thrilled to have you with us as we roll into a busy, tuneful summer together.Next week, we’ll be heading over to Llys Y Seren to serenade the residents with a song or two — a gentle, joyful visit that always reminds us why community singing matters. It’s one of those moments where harmony meets heart, and I know you’ll help make it extra special.

STAY AWAY FROM ABERAVON BEACH!

Witnessed totally disgusting behavior on the beach at Porthcawl yesterday. A man and woman arguing in front of a load of kids then she smacked him one on the head and it all kicked off between them, the police turned up and the policeman ended up using his baton on the bloke but the man actually managed to get the baton off the copper and started hitting the copper and the woman with it. Then a crocodile turned up and stole all the sausages!

☀️🎶 Tomorrow’s Rehearsal — Powered by Sunshine & Sheer Chaos 🎶☀️

Ladies, we’re meeting tomorrow at 6:45pm at Aberavon Beach Hotel — even though Aberavon currently feels like someone left the oven door open.

Please arrive with:
A cold drink
Light clothes
Your finest “I’m singing but also gently roasting” face

We’ll laugh through the heat, take breaks, and pretend we’re rehearsing for a tropical tour.

And honestly… if we can sing Christmas songs in June, we can survive this weather.

Afanté: unstoppable, unbothered, and occasionally overheated.
