Lexi’s Dog holiday adventure May 2026 (a cheesey tail)
Hi my name is Lexi, the big cheese from Caerphilly.
In May 26, the I went on holiday to Cwm March, that’s Welsh for Stallion Valley. That’s me in the photo next to horse which lives in the Stallion Valley farmyard. It didn’t want to play with me.
Ruth (my mum) that’s her in the photo down by the pond, and Steve (my dad), with me in the enclosed play paddock.
They came with me, did the driving and looked after me with food and walks.
We love The Byre holiday cottage which has a nice safe enclosed back garden I was able to watch the birds feeding through the French windows.
We went out to the welcoming local dog friendly pub for a lovely meal but mostly enjoyed staying in Stallion Valley.
The cosy cottage has underfloor heating and felt like a home away from home with warm rooms and beautiful countryside views.
Stallion Valley’s 4 acres was wonderful, full of quiet corners and colourful flowers that made every morning feel peaceful.
I loved our walks down by the pond with mum, we saw buzzards and red kites plus a mummy duck with ducklings, mum told me they were too young to play.

But who needs ducklings when you have an enclosed play paddock, a frizbee and mum & dad to throw it?
Mick & Julie are really lucky they live here with Billy and Eric they are spaniels like me, very friendly and love to play in the woods amongst the bluebells. They know lots of local beaches.
I always love holidaying at Stallion Valley this was my 3rd hoiday here? Dad enjoys the fresh air and relaxed atmosphere, while mum treasures the calm surroundings and peaceful afternoons reading.
Together we find Stallion Valley is an escape from everyday life and we leave after each visit refreshed, happy and looking forward to our return. See you again soon Lexi,Ruth & Steve

Spring in Stallion Valley, our nesting swallows are back, ducklings on the pond, bluebell dog walks, tea by the pond and a harbourside tipple..

Stallion Valley is surrounded by fields, 3.5 acres of private grounds mature woodland and ponds. We have a large play paddock & barn with table tennis and pool etc.
Our cottages have stone floors (heated), leather sofas and stair gates. 3 or more dogs welcome.

• enclosed gardens
• dog washing, heated outdoor shower
• dog friendly beaches
• dogs may be left unattended, by arrangement
We are a short walk away from our local pub that has a warm welcome for all (including dogs).
Convenient for Cardigan Bay, market towns, villages, harbours, beaches, shops, pubs and restaurants. Less than 30 minutes away from New Quay, Aberaeron, award winning beaches & Pembrokeshire.
Inland are forest walks & mountain biking and the wonderful scenery and peace of the Cambrian Mountains & reservoirs
There is local walking, a public footpath passes through the farmyard and connects to miles of walks through woodlands and fields (maps provided). The Ceredigion Coastal path and the Teifi Trail are a few minutes’ drive.
