A quiet tranquil site for any lover of open spaces, cycling, walking and fresh air. Kielder Caravan & Camping Site welcomes touring tents, caravans and motor caravans to its beautiful 75 pitch site. The site also has 4 pods, 2 larger family pods and 2 static caravans for hire

The campsite has been awarded 3 stars by Visit Britain. A picturesque riverside camp site run by the local community since March 2004. Kielder camp site is a peaceful, friendly site with clean and tidy basic facilities. Fresh water supplied straight off the hill is cool and plentiful. We have a small onsite shop, however, we are unable to offer any fresh or grocery produce. Kielder – England’s most remote village and just 3 miles from the Scottish border, is in the heart of Britain’s largest forest. Kielder offers an escape from the hustle & bustle of everyday life, it is a remote retreat in stunning surroundings with numerous walks and cycle trails. Learn about the forest at Kielder Castle Visitor Centre,
understand the turbulent history of the Border Reivers. Launch your own craft or hire a sail boat or canoe on Kielder Water. Fish the lake, its bank or on the rivers. Spot some of Kielder’s more elusive birds or animals - red squirrels, deer & foxes. Use our online booking tool via the book now button on FB or our webpage.

TEMPORARY BBQ BAN IN FORCE FOR GUESTS TO KIELDER CAMPSITE. No fires or BBQ's of any type allowed.

This is NON NEGOTIABLE...please don't whinge. [We've heard every selfish comment under the sun....reminds me of my days in nursery.] Remember...you are visiting a very large forest, considered a tinder box by many.

A total of 1,017 wildfires have been recorded in England and Wales this year; don't add our forest to the list.

Still in place despite a few drops of rain.

Continuing hot and dry weather means there is an amber warning of severe wildfire conditions across most of England this weekend, and a yellow 'elevated risk' warning across the rest of England.

Wildfire destroys fast. To help protect our countryside:

⚠️ Don't light fires or fireworks
⚠️ Pack a picnic instead of a BBQ
⚠️ Take all litter home

If you spot a wildfire, get to a safe place and call 999.

Northumberland's been soaking up the sunshine, and the ground is extremely dry. Please help keep our countryside wildfire free by following the current advice. Thank you 🌲☀️

🔥 Wildfires can start in seconds but the damage can last for years.
As the weather warms up and more people head outdoors, we can all play a part in protecting our countryside, wildlife and communities.
We're asking you to love Northumberland like it's yours and do your bit by 👇

🥪 Packing a picnic not a BBQ
❌ Not lighting campfires or fire pits. If you're worried about getting chilly, pack an extra layer 🥶
🚮 Taking all litter home with you. Even a shard of glass can spark a blaze
✅ Following the Countryside Code wherever you go

A few small actions can make a big difference. Let's help keep our beautiful landscapes safe for everyone to enjoy 💚
