Details for this year's Wistanstow show.
SAVE THE DATE…. SUNDAY 22nd MAY
Following a few years of disruption, due to bad weather and then COVID, a modified Bike Show is being planned for 2022. We are making a few changes to improve the show and hopefully make it safer but the most important thing is to retain the great atmosphere and community spirit which has always been at the heart of the show.

LUNCH MET UPS MIDLANDS 2022.

This year I've organised four Lunch meet ups, they are somewhat different to events I've organised in the past in that they are really lunch bookings at very nice hotels, so I cant really describe them as “Turn Ups”.

I wanted to make them special and involve really nice food at a good hotel or restaurant.

I've reserved a Table for six at each of the venues listed, bookings for more people would have involved a £10 deposit per person, and I wanted to avoid that. The tables are booked for 12.30 and the bookings are in the main restaurant at each venue not the bar.

Lunch should cost around £20, but this of course depends upon what you order, and if you want a starter and or desert.

Due to the nature of these events I need members to let me know if they are attending, to help me manage numbers.

The Dates and Venues are as follows:

Wednesday 13th April 12.30.
The Swan with two necks, Nantwich Road, Blackbrook, Staffordshire, ST5 5EH .[email protected].

Wednesday 18th May 12.30.
The Three Swans 21 High Street, Market Harborough, Leicestershire, LE16 [email protected]

Wednesday 15th June 12.30.
The Royal Oak Hotel, Eatery & Coffee HouseThe Cross, Welshpool,Powys, Mid Wales SY21 7DG [email protected] https://www.royaloakwelshpool.co.uk/

Wednesday 10th August 12.30.
The Feathers Hotel, 25 High Street, Ledbury, Herefordshire, HR8 1DS [email protected]

The Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) has launched a poll of UK motorcyclists to gauge opinions on the use of petrol-powered motorcycles.

This week the club has added a series of Midlands based weekend turn up events, running from May to September. They have a loose theme castles, aircraft, and Trains. They all involve a turn up at a venue with food, for breakfast and then a optional run to another venue which surprisingly enough features a castle, or a preserved railway. I’ve organised them to “Recover” the lost venues due to Covid lockdown and at the same time give something for working members who may not be able to attend mid week events. All members are of course welcome. The turn ups are on the calendar now, restrictions on numbers etc should be lifted by the time these events are run. Take a look at the calendar to get the dates more details will be available nearer the date.

Following the Government’s announcement yesterday regarding the lifting of Covid restrictions. Please be advised that all Midlands area Turn Ups organised for 2021 up to and including 17th May are cancelled. In addition the planned trip to the Somme area of France in September has Ben cancelled.

I know it’s not motorcycle related but Please read to help us all stay safe as we travel start our Turn Ups. This is sound research from real cases and gives really good practical advice in its conclusions. Hope this helps and in a way gives some reassurance.

An office, a restaurant and a bus were the settings for multiple infections that have been studied in detail by health authorities. Their conclusions offer valuable lessons for the deescalation process
