See our website to book! Masondale Cottage is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom self-catered holiday cottage, sleeping 6, set on the Lincolnshire Wolds - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It was previously the farm formans home which the Cooper family renovated and restored in 2010 to convert to a holiday cottage for others to enjoy. The cottage has now been up and running for 12 years with many families returning to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the farm and the surrounding countryside. Otby Trout Fishing Lake is open all year around to day ticket fishermen as well as season ticket holders. We host teams of 16 and provide 4 -5 simulated clay drives in some of the most fantastic Lincolnshire scenery. Guests are fully hosted with sandwich lunch and a choice of afternoon meal. Whilst Otby Lake Boathouse provides everything you'll need for the perfect countryside escape, there are a few things you won't find here.

No WiFi, No TV, No neighbours (apart from the sheep!),No traffic noise

And that's exactly how we like it.

Of course, there's a mobile signal if you need it, and you can always download your favourite shows before you arrive. But this is a place designed for switching off, slowing down and simply being present.

Wake up to birdsong instead of notifications. Spend your evenings watching the sunset over the lake rather than scrolling through screens. Let the peaceful surroundings, gentle sounds of nature and the occasional curious sheep remind you what true relaxation feels like.

Sometimes, the greatest luxury isn't having more.

It's having less.

Back in June last year, we did something a little different at the farm and hosted a beautiful wedding.

Our wonderful bride and groom created a celebration that was completely their own. By hiring the site and filling it with the people, details and experiences that mattered most to them, they brought their dream day to life in a truly unique way.

One of the loveliest parts of the celebration was that they were able to extend the experience beyond the wedding day itself by incorporating a stay at The Boat House. The lakeside setting provided a beautiful base for getting ready on the morning of the wedding, as well as the backdrop for some truly memorable photographs. It gave them the chance to slow down, soak up every moment and enjoy a little extra time together in such a special setting.

Food (and drink) is such an important part of making a stay feel truly special. While we know guests love bringing their own favourites, we also love sharing some of ours.

We’re proud to partner with fantastic local producers to offer a delicious range of hampers and treats — from breakfast hampers, cookie boxes and cheese boards to our brand‑new partnership with Come Graze With Us, bringing you a beautifully curated graze board for two.

It’s the perfect first‑night treat when all you want to do is relax, unwind and take in the scenery.

Last week we had the absolute pleasure of hosting the official launch of The Attentionist Studio at Otby Lake and it was everything we hoped it would be.

The lake became the perfect backdrop for their new business debut, wowing guests and giving them space to relax, connect and chat in the most magical atmosphere.

It wasn’t just a meeting. It felt like a performance, a setting that lifted the whole experience and made the launch truly unforgettable.

Sometimes you get a reminder of why you do what you do and this review from our latest guest summed it up perfectly. How lovely to open the guest book and find a three page reflection on their stay. A reminder of the calm, the stillness and the effect the Boat House can have on you.

We’re so honoured to have hosted Frankie and Ash for such a meaningful stay. This is why we do what we do. To give you space to breathe, to switch off and experience our little corner of countryside calm.

With the heatwave in full swing, it’s hard to imagine anything other than sunshine and cool drinks but this warm spell has people already dreaming of cooler days by the lake.

November and December stays at the Boat House have quietly become some of the most magical: misty mornings drifting over the water, crisp walks over the Wolds, and evenings tucked up by the fire with a glass of red or a good book.

If you’re craving calm after the heat, or want a peaceful pre‑Christmas escape, now’s a perfect time to secure your stay.
