Here’s the Waiting Room at Crowcombe on an overcast, autumnal afternoon with a roaring coal fire and a table laden with tea and homemade cake. It’s almost worth missing the next train to linger a little longer in its snugness with a friendly, tail-coated stationmaster to converse with.
