✨LEAP OF FAITH✨
The New Year is essentially just an arbitrary date, because what’s a year anyway except for an accurate measurement of how long it takes Earth to orbit the Sun?
But as is customary, it is part of the human condition that we take this moment to reflect on the last orbit of the earth around the Sun. That we hope, we reflect, that we dream of the adventure of the next orbit.
Dates may be arbitrary, but they have human meaning, they put things in cosmic perspective, and so it is as the Sun sets on 2021, we take this moment to release some news.
We are heading to the wild west, and taking Apteekki to the Emerald Isle… where on a wild and wonderful acre of land on ‘The Burren’ in County Clare, we will be establishing a homestead, an organic herb and vegetable garden, an open-air workshop space, and renovating a bothy in which people will eventually be able to come and stay.
The principles we aim to espouse will be those of nurturing the land,
the value of simplicity and the concept of ‘having enough’ to sustain.
The last two orbits of the Sun have changed so many of us - made us question what kind of life we want to live - and how we wish to live - for us it is time to ground ourselves, to heal, to rehabilitate, to grow - - and ultimately transition to a sustainable way of life.
We hope you will join us on this leap of faith.
This thread will continue in the same way it has in recent months, and we will be back and forth to England for workshops and family commitments over the year.
However, we are also launching a new Instagram thread .ie specifically for Irish based workshops which we hope to have up and running from the Spring - - and for anyone interested in following the whole project, we will be documenting the creation of our new space over at Boireann Holiday Cottages and
