We invite you all to our family home to meet our beautiful and playful reindeer!

We invite you all to our family home in Ampney Crucis to meet our beautiful and playful reindeer (we have twenty one ), and take a walk through our magical Christmas tree trail which ends at Santa’s Grotto where the little kids (and the big kids) can visit Father Christmas and have a picture taken on selected days. We also have a unique range of jewelry for you to peruse made from the antlers of our reindeer that have naturally shed over the years, as well as other delightful Christmas gifts. Our magical Christmas Event will be running again this year from the 20th of November until the 24th of December 10am - 5pm Selected days and weekends and 10am - 4pm Sunday. We are also opening on Saturday 18th December for a late night 6pm-8pm. Satu, 24 years old and always takes her extra bit of food with her 🤣other pics show Marmaduke taking his lifeguard duty seriously, putting the lights on the trees ready for our Christmas Event and the chickens took themselves off to bed because we were late doing it. Details of our Christmas Event are on our website- bookings are flying now, so don’t miss your chance to come see us.

The barley straw is a real favourite this year comport last. We had just enough rain for the winter barley to produce a bit more stem and leaf and it’s going down a treat! The feed shed roof was leaking and looking up, I may have found the culprits! Went to get everyone in yesterday a few minutes late and they are all standing waiting in the yard! They could go in the barns to wait but nothing gets the message across to the humans better than standing waiting- I swear, If they had wristwatches they would be tapping them!

Turning out because it’s a nice day after a couple of mucky ones. Left the cats in charge… ten minutes later we get back from feeding and Thomas O Malley and Marmaduke are flat out in their respective beds (these tough outdoor cats seem to be becoming house cats!). Last pic is a nice leaf showing autumn colours and reminding us of our Canadian friends. Our website has details and booking information for our Christmas Event- Don’t miss your chance to book the perfect day out meeting our reindeer.

Mrs C might seem to be aimlessly watching the reindeer play, but she’s actually looking for patterns of interaction including dominance. In these frames Metsa had just knocked over Chunky’s year old calf- and you do not mess with Chunky’s kids! She’s already been over and read Metsa her rights once and is now quietly stalking her to make sure she’s got the message. Chunky’s is the real matriarch of the herd- others can play games between themselves, but Metsa stepped over a line and is being reminded that she might be the biggest, but no one messes with Chunky. And when you come to see her at our Christmas Event she will look back at you like a little angel. 🤣 go to our website for more details and booking. See you soon!

Shoutout to Nick, owner of SafetyWise Consultancy who helps keep our site safe, and Claire W, Grace’s personal physio- possibly the only Reindeer physio in the world! Both these amazing people help us keep our herd well and our place in good order. Love the sweatshirt that Nick bought specifically to wear while doing our fire inspection and PAT testing . &safety
