Defra update

On Thursday 24th January the National Bee Unit notified us that they had received a credible sighting of a lone Asian hornet in Hastings, East Sussex. It is not expected to find Asian hornets flying until later in the year, nevertheless we will ask local volunteer Asian hornet teams to be alert and monitor for Asian hornets in the area.
