We’re more than ready to welcome cosy season… but there’s no denying summer in North Norfolk is one of a kind 🤍

We’ll miss picnics on the beach, coffee after a swim and beautiful long golden evenings that make you forget what time it is.

We’ll be swapping wetsuits for jumpers soon enough… but if this has you dreaming of next summer already, we wouldn’t blame you.

Misty mornings over the Salthouse marshes, muddy walks in the fresh air, picking up a warm pastry or fresh loaf of sourdough from the village store, then coming back to light the wood burner and settle in with something warm to drink while the weather does its thing outside.

We’re not saying an autumn weekend in North Norfolk would fix all of your problems…

But we do think there’s a very good chance it would help.

Stuck for ideas this half term? These three cottages put you in just the right spot for fun days out and cosy nights in! 🍦

Our Burnham Market cottages are perfect for wandering the village and heading over to Holkham for the Festival of Little Stories (from the 15th to 21st), with storytelling, illustration workshops and a story trail around the park.

Staying in Wells-next-the-Sea means beach walks, fish and chips, and popping over to Cley Marshes to learn how to use binoculars on the 16th, and create natural lanterns from leaves and reed on the 19th.

And for a bigger day out, you can hop aboard the Teddy Bear Express, or explore nature trails at either Pensthorpe or Blickling Estate.
