Our lovely lodge is on Valley View holiday park, which is around 10 minutes from Welshpool and 20 minutes from Oswestry.

It is a quiet park with a swimming pool, tennis court and a couple of play areas.

I can't believe we are celebrating our first year of letting The Little Lodge by the Lake out.

Has it been stressful YES, have we made mistakes YES, have we learnt a lot YES.

But coming to the lodge this weekend seeing all the amazing comments have made it worth it.

We are always looking to make people stay extra special. We have continued to add more to the lodge like an air fryer and even today purchasing hot water bottles.

We can't believe that already most of July and August 2027 are booked up.

So here's to our first year. Thank you to everyone that has stayed with us.

We are back after an amazing time in the Isle of Man for our wedding. Thank you for all the well wishes. The lodge is getting full for winter breaks already.

We had a guest stay at the lodge who apparently had a power cut, we had the site manager there within 15 minutes of being made aware and the power was on. Despite this they asked for a full refund which we obviously refused.

As a result they gave us a 1 star review and as we have never asked for reviews this means the lodge has a poor rating as it only has 1 other (5 star) review.

Well it's been highly recommended by several people so we had to go and try. The service was incredible, an amazing selection of delights.
