This October, Roots is heading into the woods with New Zealand chef **ebrown
and .

One long table beneath the trees. Food cooked over flame. New Zealand w**e flowing as the light drops.

Mel will be bringing a little bit of home to Hertfordshire, with a menu inspired by New Zealand, built around produce from the farm and , paired with some very good bottles from across NZ.

No restaurant. No white tablecloths. Just smoke in the air, fires going and dinner in the middle of the woods.

Switch off by the lake.

Our Lake Huts are made for quiet stays in the Hertfordshire countryside. Wake up to the water, spend the day out on the farm, head off for a long walk and settle into dinner before ending the night back by the lake.

A little escape on the farm, with open space, still water and nowhere else you need to be.

We can’t quite believe we’re saying this, but we’re down to the final 50 tickets for Tewinbury Festival.

Saturday 12 September. One big end of summer night across the fields, woods and farm.

House & Garage Orchestra live on the main stage, Dirty Half Hundred, DJs, street food, bars, woodland dining, family stuff and plenty more happening across the site.

Once these last 50 are gone, that’s it.

A little tour of Farm Club with Rebecca 👋

Gym in the barn. Reformer Pilates with Studio 281. Sauna + ice baths in the Recovery Yard. B&A Physio. All set on a working farm, just a short walk from Welwyn North.

Rebecca didn’t quite make it over to the Farm Club Hub, our co-working space, but we’re sure a proper tour of that is coming soon.

Bank holiday w**e tasting, in a field?

Next Saturday, Roots is back in the market garden with for 4 courses, 4 w**es and a long late-summer dinner outside on the farm.

The Humble Grape team will be at the table, pouring each w**e and talking us through the producers, the regions and why each bottle has been paired with the food. Nothing too serious. Just really good w**e, seasonal cooking and a few things worth knowing about what’s in your glass.

Beyond the rooms and restaurants, there are 700 acres being worked every day. Ivor and the team out in the fields, tractors on the move and animals to check in on.

Take a walk while you’re here. Past the alpacas, pigs and cows, along the river and up towards the main farm.

A little less hotel grounds. A little more working farm.

Come for the stay. Get a little lost on the farm.

A first look at the new Tewinbury Festival artwork out in the wild, bringing a fresh bit of colour to the farm before festival season rolls in. Countryside setting, music in the air and plenty more to come.

Four weeks to go.

On 12 September, the farm turns festival. House & Garage Orchestra live in the field, DJs, street food, the fun fair, woodland dinners, on the w**e and plenty more across Tewinbury.

New look. Same field. One very good Saturday incoming.

Tickets are moving, less than 100 left!

A day on the farm, your way.

Afternoon tea or dinner in the Cowshed. Bikes out and a lap through the fields. A walk along the river, probably stopping to help a duck find its way back. Then over to say hello to the animals before heading back for a drink.

No real itinerary needed. Just pick a direction and see where the farm takes you.
