🎨 Painting Club at Heath Lodge Care Centre

Our wonderful residents had a wonderful time letting their creativity shine at Painting Club. With brushes and bright colours in hand, they painted beautiful pieces, shared laughs, and enjoyed each other’s company. The finished artworks look amazing and brought so much colour and joy to the home.

Last month, we had the pleasure of celebrating four very special birthdays here at Heath Lodge Care Centre 🎂💜

A big happy birthday to Katie, who turned 77, Christine, who celebrated her 84th birthday, Sharon, who turned 81, and Doreen, who marked an incredible 93 years young.

Each celebration was made extra special with family visits, birthday cakes and plenty of smiles along the way. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying their special day surrounded by the people who mean the most to them 😊

From all of us at Heath Lodge, we wish Katie, Christine, Sharon and Doreen a very happy birthday and many more wonderful celebrations to come 🎉

A very happy 88th birthday to our lovely Margaret! 🎂💜

We had a wonderful time celebrating with her, surrounded by wonderful friends, our amazing team, and plenty of birthday cheer. Margaret was delighted to mark the occasion with Home Manager Mihaela and Deputy Manager Monica, who joined in making her day extra special.

🌞 Staying Cool at Heath Lodge Care Centre ! 🌞

With the recent warm weather, we made sure our wonderful residents stayed refreshed and hydrated by setting up a special Hydration Station. 🍹🍉

Residents enjoyed a selection of cooling drinks, including lemonade, orange and cranberry juice, alongside fresh fruit and delicious ice lollies.

The Hydration Station was a great success, bringing plenty of smiles, laughter and opportunities to socialise while keeping cool and comfortable. The ice lollies were especially popular and proved to be the perfect treat for a sunny afternoon! ☀️

As well as being enjoyable, the afternoon was a wonderful way to promote hydration and wellbeing, ensuring everyone could make the most of the warmer days safely.

🍪🍫 Throwback to World Baking Day at Heath Lodge Care Centre ! 🍫🍪

As we look back on World Baking Day on 17th May, we're remembering a wonderful afternoon spent at our Baking Club, where residents came together to create delicious cookies and chocolate fudge brownies. 💜

Jeanine, Pamela Heath, Nigel and Conceota all joined in the fun, enjoying an afternoon filled with mixing, baking and decorating. There were plenty of smiles, laughter and conversations as everyone worked together and shared stories over a cup of tea.

Many residents said their favourite part was the wonderful aroma of freshly baked treats filling the room, while others enjoyed reminiscing about home baking and spending quality time together.

The chocolate fudge brownies proved especially popular, and the homemade cookies brought back many fond memories. It was a lovely social afternoon full of friendship, fun and, of course, plenty of sweet treats.

A fantastic way to celebrate World Baking Day and a lovely memory to look back on! 💜✨

🏛️✨ Celebrating International Museum Day at Heath Lodge Care Centre ✨🏛️

Throwback to International Museum Day, our wonderful residents Jeanine, James, John Crisp and Pamela enjoyed a wonderful day out to the The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge . 💜

The visit provided a fantastic opportunity to explore a fascinating collection of artwork, historical artefacts and cultural exhibits, while spending quality time together outside the home.

Residents enjoyed discovering the museum's impressive displays before taking a well earned break in the café, where they shared tea, sandwiches and plenty of conversation.

It was a lovely day filled with culture, learning, laughter and good company, creating special memories for everyone involved. We are delighted that our residents had the opportunity to celebrate International Museum Day in such a meaningful way. ✨

🎉 Happy Retirement, Karen! 🎉

Recently at Heath Lodge Care Centre , we came together to celebrate the retirement of our wonderful colleague Karen, who has been a valued member of the Heath Lodge family for many years.

Karen is loved by both our wonderful residents and staff alike. Her dedication, kindness and hard work in the laundry department have made a lasting difference and will be remembered by everyone at the home.

To mark this special occasion, our manager Mihaela, along with Monica, Prarthana and the wider team, organised a surprise retirement celebration. The home was beautifully decorated, a delicious cake was shared, and pizzas were enjoyed by all as we gathered to celebrate Karen’s incredible contribution.

It was a joyful occasion filled with laughter, appreciation and many fond memories shared together.

Karen, thank you for your commitment and all you have done over the years. You will be greatly missed by everyone at Heath Lodge.

We wish you a long, happy and well deserved retirement as you begin this exciting new chapter. 💐❤️

May was full of lovely moments across our homes, from getting outdoors in the sunshine to spending time together over tea and cake 💜

We celebrated World Baking Day with homemade treats, got moving for National Walking Month and loved taking part in Time for a Cuppa with Dementia UK , where simple chats over a brew turned into special moments ☕

We also marked Dementia Action Week, helping spark conversations and raise awareness, celebrated cultures and stories from around the world, and took time on International Nurses Day to thank the incredible nurses who care for our residents every day 🌍

And with the warmer weather finally arriving, National BBQ Week gave us the perfect excuse to enjoy good food and great company outdoors ☀️

Throwing it back to International Nurses Day on 12th May at Heath Lodge Care Centre , where our wonderful residents spent time making handmade cards for our wonderful nurses 💜

Residents enjoyed choosing the designs, cutting out decorations and adding their own creative touches to each card. There was lots of chatting, laughter and teamwork along the way as everyone got stuck into making something special together 😊

Recently at Heath Lodge Care Centre , our wonderful residents spent a lovely afternoon getting creative as they made handmade bouquets for our nurses to celebrate International Nurses Day 💐💜

There were lots of thoughtful touches added along the way, with residents carefully choosing flowers and colours before arranging their bouquets together. The room was full of chatting, laughter and shared ideas as everyone enjoyed making something special for our wonderful nurses 😊

Such a lovely way for our residents to show their appreciation for the care and kindness they receive every day 🌸
