What a glorious day it has been .
We were over at the Lookout the House with a View by 8.30 am today. Painting window sills and the garden furniture is never a chore in the sunshine.
Of course we took a picnic lunch with us and we ate it sitting on the bench across the road from the house looking over Portland breakwater.
As we still do not have our car we decided to walk back to Weymouth along the Rodwell trail.
Within about 10 minutes we were at the sailing club at Castle Cove. A few minutes walk later we popped in to Sandsfoot Castle gardens for an ice cream to top up Dennis's carbs.Then it was off to Buxton Road and down Boot Hill and into Weymouth via the harbour.The town was busy with people enjoying the warmth of the sunshine - who can blame them!

Popped over to the Lookout the House with a View with the laundry for the changeover today

As usual the views are stunning. Today we went for a walk along the lower part of the Rodwell trail to Smallmouth Cove. This is such an easy level walk from the house. If you take the short cut you can be on the beach in 5 minutes. We had ready made entertainment whilst we ate our picnic lunch as the wind and kite surfers were taking advantage of the brisk winds in the breakwater.
