Whitby Fire & Ice Festival is coming!

The Whitby Fire & Ice Festival is set to become one of the Yorkshire coast’s most exciting annual events.

A spectacular winter celebration of culture, creativity, folklore and community on the Yorkshire Coast.

In January 2027, Whitby will come alive with dazzling ice sculptures, live ice carving, fire performances, folklore, family activities, and an unforgettable coastal atmosphere.

From Baxtergate to the Harbourside, discover a festival designed to celebrate Whitby’s unique identity - its maritime heritage, independent spirit, creative storytelling, and future.

This project is one element of the wider High Street project for the Baxtergate area, which has received £89,353 from David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, through the Vibrant and Sustainable High Streets Fund.
