Isn't this beautiful... our guests are Aurora spotting tonight as the forecast is showing a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights again this evening. With so little light pollution the North York Moors is the perfect place to see this amazing spectacle.

Even on a day off we find ourselves in guest house mode. 🫣😂 We found some new additions for the dining room on Thursday. ❤️

Wow! What a busy 2026 season. Thank you to all of our guests who have stayed with us at Halmer Grange Guest House . Here is just a taster of some of our most recent reviews.

If you haven't had chance to visit us then there's still time. North Yorkshire is just as beautiful in the Autumn and Winter. Think brisk walks through falling leaves, cosy fires in the pubs, and a warm welcome at Halmer Grange. Hope to see you soon. 🍂🍁❤️

Sometimes you forget to take a minute, to look around and to listen. It's coming to the end of a very busy summer season at Halmer Grange Guest House and today I found half an hour to walk up on to the moors.

The breeze was blowing through the long grass, a double V of geese flew overhead, the grouse were sat in the heather and the sun was shining. I was reminded of how its necessary to stop and to look and to listen. ❤️
