We are very sad to share that Kevin Charles Newbery, known to all as Buster, has passed away.
Buster worked at Nettlecombe for over 50 years. He was part of the furniture at Nettlecombe, as much a part of the place as the land he nurtured, the hedges he laid and the animals he cared for, and a huge part of all our lives. He touched so many people along the way, from our team and families to the many guests who stayed with us. Nettlecombe won't be the same without him.
His funeral will be on Friday 9th October at 11:15am at the crematorium, followed by the wake at Ventnor Social Club. Everyone who knew and loved him is welcome to join us and celebrate his life.
The dress code is casual and, at Buster's request, wellies please! 🥾
The team at Mountbatten cared for Buster in his final days, and we're so grateful for their kindness and for the support they gave his family.
