Picture it: dawn light filtering through the oaks, a kettle starting to whistle, woodpigeons calling from the canopy. Where are you in that scene? Crouched over a single-burner stove, or stretching out on a proper bed in a safari tent while someone else lights the fire pit?
That question matters more than the price difference.
After thousands of arrivals across our camping pitches, woodland bell tents, and fully-kitted safari tents, we've noticed something. The guests who love their stay aren't the ones who booked the fanciest option. They're the ones who booked the option that matches how they actually like to holiday.
Four things worth thinking about before you choose:
What's actually included (camping means you bring most of it, safari tents come with beds, bedding, kitchen kit and a wood burner)
How much cooking you genuinely want to do on holiday
Who's in your group and what they'll need to feel settled
Your honest comfort threshold when it rains for two days straight 🌿
Bare-bones camping suits people who want the woodland unfiltered. Bell tents work beautifully for couples and small families who want a soft landing without too much fuss. Safari tents are for groups who want the firepit-and-stars experience with a real mattress and a proper morning shower.
None is better. They're just different doors into the same woodland.
