Saturday evening availability in The Spa at Low Wood Bay doesn’t come around often, but we have a few spaces on Saturday 7th November.

Book a Twilight Thermal Journey and spend two hours in our indoor and outdoor thermal facilities as the light fades over Windermere, with a face mask of your choice and a soft robe and towels waiting for you.

Our wedding open days are this week, and they’re all about smaller, more intimate celebrations 🤍

From Thursday 29th to Saturday 31st October, The Gallery Lounge and The Buckley Room at Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa will be styled for intimate weddings by Kelly Bailey Event Decor. Both rooms are perfect for anywhere from 2 to 60 guests, and The Lake Suite will also be open to view if you’re planning something bigger, for up to 200.

Whether you’re still looking for your venue or you’ve found it and want some styling inspiration, just pop in any time between 9:30am and 4pm.

Fancy sitting down with one of our wedding coordinators? Book a show round in advance by emailing [email protected] and we’ll treat you to a glass of fizz and 20% off at Blue Smoke or The W.

There’ll also be special offers for couples who book their wedding with us, and for anyone who books Kelly for their own venue.

Friday evening saw the launch of our latest Art in The Atrium exhibition, and what a lovely way to start the weekend.
 
This season we’re showing landscapes and flower paintings by Tony Roberts alongside ceramics by , curated in partnership with .
 
Tony trained at the Royal Academy Schools and has spent decades painting the fells and dales of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. William learned his craft in Japan before setting up his pottery here in Cumbria, using glazes made from local wood ash and granite.
 
Thank you to everyone who joined us. The exhibition is free to visit in The Atrium until January 2027, so do pop in next time you’re passing.

About the festival

The Gingerbread House Festival begins on Friday 20th November with our Christmas Lights Switch On, and runs across three days at Low Wood Bay. Both are free to attend, with local stallholders, food demonstrations, storytelling and much more.

Fancy building your own? Entries for the gingerbread house competition are still open, with £10,000 worth of prizes to be won.
