Good morning Wokingham

Well, that was quite the match wasn't it? A retaken penalty, goals to equalise and back again, hydration breaks, Pickford getting redder by the second and Bellingham proving why he was the right pick for the squad once again.

We very much enjoyed watching (and cheering, loudly, sorry neighbours!) with you last night and we will be showing the next match on Tuesday from 9pm. Don't count out Ghana as there have been some pretty big upsets so far this tournament but we reckon the boys have got what it takes.

Thank you to our fantastic Ukulele Jam.who took on the challenge to learn some footie anthems, and Claire very much enjoyed showing off her skills (ahem, not according to Ed) at knowing the words to John Barnes rap.

Onto the rest of the week and we have music this Friday from The Fab Cats from 8.30pm, Saturday it's Dukes Disco (and some more footie anthems no doubt) from 8pm and Sunday we may even persuade Ed to light the barbecue for Grill and Chill.

We open from 1pm today so come down for some lunch from Elton at Miimi's Kitchen.

Good afternoon Wokingham

Well, are we all ready to cheer on the three lions in Dallas as England takes on Croatia? We sure are!

Claire has dug out an appropriate footie CD (for nostalgia!) and knows all the words to John Barnes seminal rap.

So come down and cheer on the lads in their first World cup match. And let's be honest, we hope the Lionesses have inspired them to bring home the silverware.

Also tonight it's Ukulele Jam a little earlier than usual.

Last night we hosted our monthly Vinyl Club, organised by Simon and it was a good old mix of tunes new and old.

We love our clubs here at The Dukes so if you fancy setting one up, get in touch

Good afternoon Wokingham

We will be open as usual from 3pm today and below is what we've got for you to enjoy this week.

Starting tonight with Wokingham Vinyl Club meet up from 8pm. Always a favourite in the calendar, no matter what your taste is, if you love vinyl then come along

Tomorrow it's finally time for those boys with the three lions on their shirt to step onto the pitch for their first World Cup match at 9pm. We've got it live in the main bar as it happens and we are hoping that England can follow Scotland's example and beat Croatia!
As a result Ukulele Jam will be starting earlier than usual.

Friday we have music and this time it's the turn of Fab Cats, a highly rated band who are not to be missed. They're live from 8.30pm

And Saturday it's back to our usual musical offering from Dukes Disco.

Good afternoon Wokingham

It's the end of the weekend and we are enjoying seeing a range of talented artists around the town centre for the En Plein Air, organised by Wokingham 360 and R Young Art Gallery.
We spotted one of the competition hopefuls painting our wonderful old Dukes from early this morning - isn't it fantastic?

Today we have live football coverage of the game between Germany and Curacao from 6pm. And a big round of applause goes to Claire's team Scotland who won 1-0 at 2am our time. They were very pleased to see that result.

We also have a visit from The Frailers from 7pm

Remember we are closed tomorrow and back Tuesday with Vinyl Club from 8pm

We are open, the garden is looking nice and sunny to sit in and tonight we have music from the always talented The Trashcan Millionaires from 8.30pm. Don't miss it and get here early to grab a table!

Good afternoon Wokingham

Remember, from today, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday we are open from 1pm, so rather than eating a takeaway away from Miimi's Kitchen and getting soggy, why not come in and enjoy a cheeky drink with us?

After all, we now come recommended for banter and fun from The Great British Pub Crawl.

Saturday Claire is nicking the decks back from Eddie for Dukes Disco from 8pm

And Sunday the Frailers will be back in the Snug from 7pm.

We will be showing the opening ceremony of the World Cup (of Soccer, apparently) in the main bar.
