August has been eventful…

We opened our 3rd apartment during the first week of the month with just minutes to spare before the guests arrived!

Our busiest month to date with 23 sets of guests staying for a total of 54 nights over 3 floors.

Some returning, some new and some old friends we’d not seen in a while … celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, playing golf, watching super bikes, a school reunion and some relaxing welcome breaks.

Feedback has been amazing, countless entries in our guest books & 14 platform reviews during the month taking our Booking.com scores in all 3 apartments to 9.8, an indication of the consistency we strive for but also a reflection of the hard work, determination and commitment by all involved at Glenesk 1

If you happen to find yourself in our 1st & 2nd floor apartments take a moment to admire our newly renovated hall & staircase on your way upstairs.

A selection of vintage hickory shafted golf clubs and tee markers including a rare water iron & rake hang alongside Coronation memrobilia and the familiar faces of Winston Churchill, Lord Kitchener & King Charles, all adorned with vintage Union flags.

Everything hand picked with a nod to the history of the local area and to compliment the amazing building & joinery work of Ryan Wakefield of R.Wakefield Building LTD
Carpets from Steve Chater of SDC Flooring Services and tiling by Darren Maskell Tiling

Not to mention a front door lovingly restored by Lakes Reclamation and the all important accessories for the unpredictable British weather - umbrella’s from Flemings Woodhall Spa blending perfectly with period paint colours from Farrow & Ball
