Airbnb set-up day. One of us builds the beds. One of us supervises.

Every bed frame, mattress and screw goes in before the first guest arrives.

It's not glamorous, but it's the difference between a room that's listed and a room that's ready.

And yes, the supervisor did help. Eventually.

Owning a short let is the easy bit. Running one is a full-time job.

Listings, pricing, guest messages, cleans, linen, restocking, maintenance.

That's what EvoStar Short Stays takes off your hands.

Already on Airbnb? We can join your listing as co-host and take it from there.

You get a clear monthly statement and a team that handles every guest message, day or night.

Things go wrong in short lets. What matters is how fast someone turns up.

This guest had a problem with the hot water.

Someone was there within five minutes and sorted it.

His review? Five stars and 'will definitely stay here again'.

A proactive team turns a problem into a repeat booking. That's what landlords need from a manager.

Setting up a short let isn't buying some towels and listing it on Airbnb.

It's unpacking every pan, washing every plate and checking every cupboard before a guest walks in.

We've done enough of these now to have it down to a fine art.

The landlord doesn't lift a finger. That's the whole point.

The best review we get isn't online. It's in the guest book.

Every short stay we manage has a book on the table, and guests write in it before they leave.

Nobody prompts them. Nobody pays them. It's just what people say when a place has been looked after properly.

That's what we do for our landlords, every single booking.

Guests don't read the house rules on the listing. So we put them in their hands.

Every short stay we manage gets its own welcome guide.

Wifi, check-out, local tips, who to call. All in one place.

Fewer late-night messages, fewer problems, better reviews. That's what keeps a property earning.

Short stays aren't passive income. This is what they actually look like.

The last guests needed two singles. The next guest wanted one big bed. So Kate zipped the mattresses together and made it up as a super king before check-in.

It's the bit of short stays nobody puts in the brochure. We do it so the landlord doesn't have to.
