🐑 Just a sheep having a back scratch… right?

Well, not always! At this time of year, it can be a telltale sign that something isn’t quite right — which is why, behind the scenes at Cae Haidd Retreat, we’re out checking the flock morning and afternoon. 👀

Thankfully, we spotted this one needed treatment and he’s now on the mend. ❤️

So while our guests enjoy the peace and quiet of our holiday barn on the smallholding, there’s usually a little more going on behind the scenes than meets the eye! 🐑🏡

There’s something rather special about Christmas in the Welsh countryside… cosy evenings, crackling fires, frosty mornings and nowhere you need to be. 🏡🔥🎄

So, before we share our Christmas availability more widely, we’re giving our lovely followers first chance to book. ❤️
We have availability from Friday 16th – Monday 28th December, with flexibility on dates (minimum 4 nights).

And yes… that is my daughter’s swimming costume hanging up in the photo! 🩱🤣 With pool time split between mornings and afternoons, quick drying was definitely the priority — practical over pretty every time!

We aren’t fully there yet, and will still be taking future bookings via email, WhatsApp and messages as usual, but hopefully our new booking link will make it easier for new guests to find us too. ❤️
