A reputable hotel in Kumasi is looking for a dynamic and an experienced COOK for immediate employment.

*Job Title:* Cook
*Location* : Kumasi (Lasab hotel, Kwadaso Agric )
Vacancies : 2

*Cook Job Purpose*:
Prepares food for clients. Helps devise new methods of cooking and new menu items and also streamlines work from back of house to front of house.

*Cook Job Duties:*
1. Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy.
2. Prepares foods to the specifications of the client.
3. Prepares food before the arrival of guests
4. Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
5. Manages other employees in the kitchen
6. Acts as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperature
7. Seasons food according to recipes or company needs
8. Orders ingredients and spices as needed
9. Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer
10. Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preference
11. Devises new recipes
12. Estimates expected food consumption and organises preparation
13. Keeps records and accounts of food purchases
14. Meets with customers to ensure a great meal experience
15. Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
16. Stays open until the last customer leaves
17. Offers a creative menu to compete with other local restaurants
18. Cleans up after business hours
19. Communicates with owner about how to improve meal service

*Cook Skills and Qualifications:*
Degree /HND / Certificate in catering, Organisational Skills, Verbal Communication, Culinary Arts, Kitchen Equipment Knowledge, Knowledge of continental or International Cuisines, Creativity, Interpersonal Skills, Culinary Arts.
