Tucked in Plaka, next to the Tower of the Winds, sits the only surviving Ottoman-era public bath in Athens. Built in the 15th–17th centuries, it operated as a working hammam until 1965, its vaulted rooms and marble counters still intact, now telling the story of centuries of Athenian bathing culture instead.
