It is high summer in Greece and in the last week we had to deal with a strong heat wave. In Crete the temperatures were reaching almost 40 degrees, so not ideal walking weather! But if you do go walking there is nothing better than a refreshing dive afterwards! For example, in Kalivaki Beach near Georgioupolis where the water is always cold due to a river!
This is also the period that people (and many walkers) are booking a holiday for the autumn period.
