Koukoumi in Myconian dialect means sheltered from the wind a cozy place for snuggling. Situated in the heart of the island, in the traditional village of Ano Mera, Koukoumi was created to be a peaceful sanctuary for the sophisticated traveler. In this setting we tried to bring a breath of fresh air in hospitality, to show a more intimate side of the island and promote a new life philosophy. We can enjoy life without harming animals, the environment or ourselves. A vegan will feel at home here and every one can try out an alternative and peaceful way of being, satisfying at the same time all their senses. Respecting the principles of Authenticity, Simplicity and Balance we offer an impeccable standard of service, while allowing the guest to lie back, relax and enjoy a healthy and harmonious accommodation.

At Koukoumi Hotel, we believe that kindness and respect should extend to every living being.

This World Vegan Day, we are happy to announce our collaboration with Mykonos Animal Welfare (MAW), supporting their important work in protecting and caring for the stray animals of Mykonos.

Starting next season, our guests will have the opportunity to meet adorable cats looking for their forever homes and, who knows, perhaps find a new furry family member to take home and love forever. ❤️

Together, we hope to give more little paws the chance for a happy life, one adoption at a time.

Because every life matters, and every little soul deserves a loving home.

As our 2026 season comes to an end on October 25th, we want to say a heartfelt thank you.

Thank you to everyone who stayed with us, worked with us, shared their beautiful memories, wrote a review, posted a story or created a video to share their Koukoumi experience.

This year was a very special one for us. We welcomed 16 new suites, opening a new chapter for Koukoumi, and we are so happy to have seen you love them as much as we do.

Our restaurant was once again honoured with an FNL Award, a recognition we are deeply grateful for and proud to share with our entire team. Led by our chef, Aggeliki Charami, this award is a beautiful acknowledgement of the passion, creativity and dedication that go into every plate and every experience.

It was also a year of meaningful collaborations and moments beyond the hotel. We were happy to welcome Studio One and be part of their 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training journey, sharing our space with a community dedicated to movement, wellbeing and connection.

And, as we do every year, we continued our small contribution to the animals around us. This year, we were especially happy to help five little kittens find a safe new beginning a small act, but one that means a lot to us.

Thank you for being part of our journey and for making this season so memorable.

We close 2026 with grateful hearts and look forward to welcoming you back for an even more special 2027.
