There is a word in Greek, ysterofimía. It comes from ‘ýstera’, meaning “after,” and ‘fími’, meaning “reputation.” Posthumous fame.

As long as I can remember, on the day we were travelling back home, the island would shine with beauty, as if whispering, “Where are you going? Stay here.”

Such a day it was again this year, when with great difficulty I set out to leave.

Once more, the island made sure to let its dazzling image flood my mind, so that all I could think about was coming back.

Until next year, then!
Thank you all for the summer days we spent together.

According to Google Maps, the path from our “Spitia Tzitzi” hotel to the “Onar restaurant” is literally 650 m long, an easy 10 minutes walk. Well, after so many years, I still need about half an hour, as I have to stop and stare to this stunning view, the obvious and the hidden beauty. Santorini is a blessing and we are lucky to experience it.
