Representing the main entrance to Dubrovnik's Old Town, the Pile gate is a meeting point for both visitors and locals. This imposing city gate was built in the 15th century. 🏰

While crossing the drawbridge, imagine that in the past the gate used to be pulled up at night to prevent unwelcome guests from entering the medieval, walled city, and the key was handed to the rector.

Today marks a historic day as it’s the opening of the Peljesac bridge. You who are in the area might notice several happenings and festivities.Today Croatia is connected from north to south as it’s no longer needed to cross border via Neum in BiH to get to Dubrovnik. After 300 years, Croatia is whole again.

Good morning from Dubrovnik! Well the weather forecast showed rain and clouds and the reality is the exact opposite. Beautiful sunshine ☀️☀️ and blue skies start the week in Dubrovnik with highs expected to reach 20 degrees today. Swimming season is still alive.

So today is a national holiday across Croatia - All Saints' Day. A day to remember our loved ones who are no longer with us. Flowers and candles will adorn the country's graveyards.
