Šijavica is a traditional game for two players, most commonly played in pairs. Each player simultaneously shows a number of fingers on one hand while trying to guess the total number of fingers shown. At the same time, they call out a number between 2 and 10.

The numbers shouted are modified Italian words such as “schije” and “schete” (from sei and sette), which is also where the name of the game originates.

Although the game involves an element of chance, player skill and timing play a significant role.
