Our home, our water, our future.
As we build the Stimac Family Estate here in Lički Osik, we are fully committed to protecting Lika’s wild nature.
But right now, our region is facing an environmental crisis with thousands of tons of illegal waste dumped nearby.
While we stand with the community and the "Gospić je naš dom" initiative, our hands-on experience shows that the root of the problem runs deeper than illegal dumping. The current system is broken:
1. It only works on paper: Official waste disposal guidance exists, but actual, reliable services are practically unavailable.
2. No practical knowledge: Local construction companies lack clear, simple instructions on how and where to safely dispose of waste.
3. Bureaucracy over progress: Too much red tape and corruption stifle sustainable development, driving people to cut corners instead of motivating honest economic growth.
We don't just need cleanups; we need practical solutions:
1. Hands-on training and clear instructions for local builders.
2. Accessible, safe local waste storage sites.
3. Affordable pick-up options that make doing the right thing easy.
Let's build a Lika that thrives economically and ecologically.
