While waiting to come to Makarska, here are some fun facts. 🌊

🐚 Inside an old Franciscan monastery in the town center, monks spent decades collecting seashells from oceans all over the world - today it's one of the most impressive shell museums you'll find anywhere.

⚓ Take a walk along the Riva toward Sveti Petar and you'll pass four monuments telling Makarska's story through the sea - from a bronze statue honoring tourists, to a stone fisherman mending his net, to a real anchor from a ship that once sank near Marseille.

Welcome to Makarska! Charming port town in the heart of Middle Dalmatia, a region famous for its awe-inspiring views. 🏔️ 🌊

A palm-lined promenade, fishing boats in the harbour, good food around every corner, and Biokovo rising straight up behind it all.
