On Friday, September 18th, Restaurant Vila Rova continues Kvarner on Your Plate gastro series and welcomes Alfred Keller Restaurant (1★ Michelin) Executive Chef Daniel Skokić. Together, they will present a curated 6-course tasting menu, paired with the iconic terroir wines of Edi Simčič from Goriška Brda, Slovenia.

We are very proud to learn Restoran Vila Rova this year once again received Michelin recommendation. Also, our chef Marin Pleše has been awarded "Michelin Special Award for the young chef" given to exceptional individuals who contribute to making the guest experience unforgettable through their passion and skills.

Here is the original quote from Michelin Guide: "This young chef exudes overwhelming energy and surprising maturity in the kitchen. Meet Petar - the face behind the service at Vila Rova.

For Petar, hospitality has never been just a job. Growing up alongside Vila Rova, surrounded by restaurant service, conversations about wine, and the daily rhythm of the hotel, he learned from a young age how warmth, attention to detail, and genuine service shape the guest experience.

Today, as the Restaurant Manager, he brings years of experience from Croatia and Austria, having built his career through all levels of service—from waiter to managing Restaurant Vila Rova.

After completing his degree in gastronomy, he further specialized in wine and wine pairing, earning his Sommelier Level 2 (HSK) certification. This winter, he honed his service skills at the Noel restaurant in Zagreb under the mentorship of Kristijan Harjač. The next step? Sommelier Level 3.

What brings him the most joy is creating experiences that keep guests coming back—because of the atmosphere, the attention to detail, and the feeling that they have arrived at the right place.

Upoznajte Petra - lice iza servisa u Vili Rova.

Za Petra, hospitality nikada nije bio samo posao. Odrastajući uz Vilu Rova, uz restoranski servis, razgovore o vinima i svakodnevni ritam hotela, od malih je nogu učio koliko toplina, detalji i iskrena usluga oblikuju iskustvo gosta.

Danas, kao Restaurant Manager, iza sebe ima godine iskustva u Hrvatskoj i Austriji, a svoj je profesionalni put gradio kroz sve razine servisa - od konobara do vođenja restorana Vila Rova.

Nakon završenog studija gastronomije, dodatno se specijalizirao za vina i wine pairing te je završio Sommelier Level 2 HSK, a ove zime usavršavao je servis u restoranu Noel u Zagrebu pod mentorstvom Kristijana Harjača. Sljedeći korak? Sommelier Level 3.

Ono što ga najviše veseli je stvarati iskustva kojima se gosti vraćaju - zbog atmosfere, pažnje prema detaljima i osjećaja da su stigli na pravo mjesto.

What an unforgettable evening! We are still reminiscing about the incredible flavors and wonderful atmosphere from our Kvarner on Your Plate dinner organised with Visit Kvarner.

A huge thank you to our special guest, Chef Stiven Vunić, who joined our resident Chef Marin Pleše to create a spectacular 6-course menu celebrating the very best flavours of our region. The culinary experience was elevated by exceptional wine pairings, guided by our sommelier Petar Krnčević, Žarko Stilin (Kvarner Wines), Dalibor Gajzler (San Apollinare winery), and Egle and Ivan Katunar representing Kucavina Ivan Katunar.
