Official Page of Hotel Istra*** Hotel Istra (3*) Opatija provides seafront hotel accommodation along the Adriatic.

A short walk down Opatija's main street will put you in the middle of the city center. The Lungomare, Opatija's famous 12 kilometer-long coastal promenade, also leads to the center and offers an up-close view of the Adriatic Sea. The hotel's location is ideal for the traveler who enjoys being close to the hustle and bustle of the city, but also likes the calm and privacy of a beach vacation.

Maybe it’s the palms. Maybe it’s the Adriatic. Or maybe it’s simply the fact that Hotel Kristal and Sladobar were always meant to be part of the same afternoon.

One of our favourite things about Hotel Kristal? The guests who keep choosing it. 🤍

For many, Hotel Kristal is less of a discovery and more of a tradition - a place they return to year after year for the familiar atmosphere, warm hospitality and those little moments that make a stay feel special.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Opatija, it’s a place where guests come to relax, create new memories and, more often than not, already start planning their next return.

Every great destination has an original.

Look closer and you'll see why some places simply can't be replicated.

World Tourism Day celebrates what travel awakens in us – curiosity, freedom, and the desire to discover.

To travel is to change the scenery, even if only for a while. To take a different road, notice things we might otherwise miss, hear another language, taste something unfamiliar, and let a place set the pace for a moment.

Some places make it especially easy to slow down and look around. Opatija is definitely one of them – shaped by the sea, its gardens, architecture and a long tradition of welcoming travellers. A place with many layers, where there is always something to notice, even when you think you already know it.

At Liburnia Hotels & Villas, we are proud to be part of that experience – and to welcome each new chapter of Opatija’s story.

Here’s to exploring beyond what we know, beyond the everyday, beyond the usual.

Happy World Tourism Day!

Some rooms don’t need much introduction.

Crystal chandeliers, grand proportions and an atmosphere that shifts with every occasion - from elegant dinners and celebrations to events that deserve a space with character.

In the Golden Hall at Hotel Imperial, the setting is never just the background.

Hotel Bellevue wears mornings particularly well.

The façade catches the sun, greenery frames the terrace, coffee waiting in the shade and just enough Adriatic blue glistening in the background.

Opatija has a certain way of starting the day - and this address knows it by heart.

Reminders of beauty are all around us.

Bask in them daily on the Lungomare promenade.

Consider this summer’s after-hours.

At Hotel Ičići, blue hour doesn’t simply arrive - it slowly takes over. The last traces of daylight disappear into the Adriatic, the pool begins to glow, and the whole scene shifts into a different mood.

Because September looks different from here.

19/09/2026

Before the cozy season begins, the Adriatic still has a few summer moments left to give. Long evenings by the sea, majestic views worth staying out for, and that soft September light that makes you forget summer is supposed to be ending.

The calendar may be moving on. We’re in no hurry.

Some days simply refuse to end indoors. At Hotel Admiral, we let them have their way.
