As another season comes to an end at Baldarin, we’re looking back with full hearts. 💙

This season was especially meaningful as we celebrated 60 years of our campsite - six decades of holidays, friendships and memories shared with you.

Thank you to everyone who made this anniversary season so special. Whether it was your first visit or your home away from home, we’re grateful you were part of it. 🌿🌊

We reopen on 24 April 2027 and can’t wait to welcome you back for more moments to remember.

[PITCH NUMBER 1 – A PLACE WHERE OUR FAMILY STORY LIVES ON - a personal story of Mrs. Daniela Vogelauer Sax]
For our family, Baldarin has never been just a campsite - it is part of our family story. ❤️
Our connection to Baldarin began in 1969, when my grandparents Klaus and Gitti Wagner first arrived there with their children. Over the decades, Baldarin became a place of friendship, traditions, unforgettable summers, and memories shared across generations.
My parents spent their honeymoon there, I learned to walk there, and today my own son loves this special place just as much as we do. Last year, after many years, we were finally able to stay again on Pitch number 1 - the place my grandfather once prepared himself and where our family story truly began. My grandparents initials are still on that same pitch today.
For me, this place represents love, belonging, and connection. That is why the number 1, together with symbols of Baldarin, the island, and my grandparents, became part of a tattoo I carry with me forever.
Every year, before boarding the ferry to Cres and Lošinj, we take the same family photo - continuing a tradition that now lives on through new generations.
Some places are more than destinations. They become part of who you are. And for us, Baldarin will always be the most beautiful place in the world. 🌊🌲

[A LIFE CONNECTED TO BALDARIN CAMP - personal story of Mrs Ljiljana, our housekeeping manager]
This year, Baldarin Camp celebrates its 60th anniversary, and I am proud to say that almost my entire life has been connected to this special place.
My story with Baldarin began in 1983, when my husband Đuro and I arrived as seasonal workers. Young and full of dreams, we never imagined that the camp would become not only our workplace, but also the place where our life together would begin.
In 1986, I became a permanent employee, and over the years Baldarin Camp became much more than a job — it became our second home. We raised our son Darko and daughter Sara surrounded by the sea, pine trees, and the unique spirit of the camp community.
As they grew older, both of our children also worked at the camp reception while studying, gaining valuable experience, friendships, and lifelong memories. Today, even our grandchildren are growing up connected to Baldarin, continuing a family bond that now spans generations.
Throughout my career, I worked alongside many colleagues, directors, employees, and guests who became true friends over time. The years brought challenges and hard work, but even more beautiful memories and unforgettable people.
As my professional career slowly comes to an end after this summer, I feel above all gratitude and pride for having spent forty years as part of such a special story.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey, and thank you, Baldarin Camp, for all the memories, friendships, and life experiences you gave us.

Due to a major leak in the campsite's drinking water supply system, we will be carrying out emergency works to locate and repair the damaged pipe during the night from Thursday, 6 August, to Friday, 7 August.
As a result, the water supply will be interrupted from 10:30 p.m. on Thursday until 7:00 a.m. on Friday.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

[Summers in Punta Križa through three generations (1978–2026)]

Our family first came to Punta Križa in 1978 after a doctor recommended the healing climate of the Lošinj area for childhood bronchitis. What began as a one-night stop at Baldarin Camp soon became a lifelong tradition spanning three generations.

Back then, the journey itself was an adventure. Our tent was too large for our tiny “Fićo” car, so my father built a wooden trailer to carry all our camping equipment. The road to Punta Križa was narrow and overgrown with grass in places, and the camp looked very different from today. There were no sports courts yet, most guests stayed in tents, and few campers even used electricity.
Life was simple and closely connected to nature. Food was cooled in pits dug beneath rocks, children explored bays filled with shells and sea stars, and unforgettable encounters with deer and other wildlife became part of everyday camp life.

Over the years, Punta Križa gave us far more than beautiful holidays. It gave us lifelong friendships, countless shared memories, and a sense of belonging. In recent years, many of us have stayed connected through our Viber group, “Punta Križa Family,” and we have even celebrated New Year together on Lošinj.

Today, the third generation of our family continues to spend summers at Baldarin. One of the most touching moments came in 2023, when camp representatives surprised us with a cake and congratulations for celebrating 45 years of holidays in Punta Križa.

This summer, we will once again return to the pine trees, the sea, and the friends we have known for decades — grateful for the memories and traditions that continue to bring us back year after year.

[60 YEARS OF FREEDOM & NATURE]

For sixty years, Baldarin has been much more than a place to camp.

It has been a meeting place for generations of families, nature lovers, sailors, cyclists, hikers and naturists from across Europe. Countless friendships have begun here, children have grown up returning summer after summer, and many guests now bring their own children—and even grandchildren—to experience the same unique atmosphere.

Surrounded by centuries-old pine forests, crystal-clear waters and an unspoiled Mediterranean landscape, Baldarin has stayed true to its essence—living in harmony with nature, with naturism embedded in its DNA since its earliest days.

Celebrating 60 years, we pay tribute not only to the history of the camp, but also to all those who helped create it - employees, local residents, partners and, above all, our loyal guests.

In the coming days we will publish some of your and our personal stories which can be read on the display boards at the camp (all summer long).
