ovo je Top of the Pupnat prije nego što je postao ono što je danas.

stari kamen, ruševni zidovi, godine koje su ostavile trag – i puno posla pred nama.

nismo željeli izbrisati ono što je već postojalo.
htjeli smo sačuvati karakter kuće i njezin kamen, a oko njega izgraditi nešto novo.

zato se u Top of the Pupnat i danas susreću staro i novo.

this is Top of the Pupnat before it became what it is today.

old stone, weathered walls, years of history – and a lot of work ahead.

we didn’t want to erase what was already there.
we wanted to preserve the character of the house and its stone, and build something new around it.

that is why old and new still meet at Top of the Pupnat.

Ako ste tih dana na Korčuli, nemojte propustiti pogled prema gore.

Predvečer nas očekuje djelomična pomrčina Sunca – na Korčuli počinje u 19:30, maksimum doseže u 19:56, a završava u 19:59.

Nakon zalaska slijedi noć bez mjesečine, upravo u vrijeme vrhunca Perzeida – jednog od najpoznatijih meteorskih rojeva.

Zato, ako ste na otoku, odvojite malo vremena, pronađite tamno mjesto i pogledajte prema nebu.

Jedna od onih ljetnih noći koje se pamte.

On August 12, the sky will put on a spectacular show. ✨

If you are on Korčula around that date, don’t forget to look up.

In the early evening, a partial solar eclipse will be visible – on Korčula it begins at 7:30 pm, reaches its maximum at 7:56 pm and ends at 7:59 pm.

After sunset comes a moonless night, right around the peak of the Perseid meteor shower – one of the most famous meteor showers of the year.

So, if you are on the island, take a little time, find a dark spot and look up.

One of those summer nights worth remembering.

Stvaraju se uz zvuk noža koji reže pršut, pjesmu koja odzvanja kalama i stol za kojim uvijek ima mjesta za još jednog gosta.

Jučer je Pupnat slavio Gospu od Sniga, Dan mjesta i Dan pobjede i domovinske zahvalnosti. Tisuće ljudi ponovno su pokazale ono što ovo malo selo čini posebnim – zajedništvo koje se ne može opisati, nego doživjeti.

To je onaj pravi otok.
Onaj kojem se ljudi vraćaju.

They are made by the sound of hand-cut prosciutto, songs echoing through the stone streets and a table where there is always room for one more guest.

Yesterday, Pupnat celebrated Our Lady of the Snows, Pupnat Day and Croatia's Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day. Thousands of people gathered once again, reminding us that the true spirit of the island is found in its traditions and its people.

This is the island you'll remember.

Kako Top of the Pupnat izgleda kada ga ne gledate očima gosta, nego arhitekta ili dizajnera?

Linije, perspektive, materijali, detalji… i nekoliko poteza boje tamo gdje ih oko prvo primijeti.

Možda bi ovako izgledale prve skice naše kuće. Da su nastale prije nje. 🙂

What does Top of the Pupnat look like when seen not through the eyes of a guest, but those of an architect or designer?

Lines, perspectives, materials, details… and a few strokes of colour where the eye naturally lands first.

Perhaps this is what the first sketches of our house would have looked like. Had they been drawn before it was built. 🙂

Korčula se ne otkriva odjednom.
Ona ostaje u malim trenucima, pogledima i danima kojima se uvijek želite vratiti.

Ponekad je dovoljno samo biti ovdje.

Korčula doesn’t reveal itself all at once.
It stays with you in small moments, quiet views and days you’ll always want to return to.

Sometimes, simply being here is enough.

Samo malo vremena, nekoliko stranica dobre knjige i čašu vina koja može pričekati da je popijete polako.

U Top of the Pupnat ne brojimo koliko ste toga stigli.
Važnije je koliko ste toga uspjeli zaboraviti.
