While walking along the coast near our camp, you’ve likely noticed unusual wooden structures rising from the sea. These are Savudrija’s Grue🌿

Since there are no naturally protected bays, local fishermen had to innovate. To save their wooden boats from the destructive power of the winds, they designed these acacia wood cranes. Using a pulley system, they would hoist their boats high above the waves to safety.
