Since it’s already somehow November we thought it might be time for a summer round up, from the perspective of the Garden. Not about the music, the artists or the crowds, but about the hard work behind the scenes that goes into making this place what it is. Mali Barbs Presents: Brown Excellence

Introducing our next very special guests. UK-based duo Brown Excellence make their Zagreb debut, off the back of Outlook Festival perfomances and countless sold-out UK shows. Their sets centre around identity, weaving leftfield proto-dubstep under Hindustani vocals, Chicago footwork cuts married with tabla runs, and 80s Bollywood disco fusions. Joining them on Saturday 21 November:

SZCH - Istrian-born, Zagreb-based DJ & producer connecting the dots between leftfield electronics, UK sounds & rap, favouring unexpected connections over strict genre boundaries.

Mali Barbs Presents: Young Marco

On night two of our opening weekend we’re thrilled to welcome Dutch selector and producer Young Marco to Mali Barbarellas. Known for his high-energy, eclectic sets, he moves effortlessly between house, techno, and beyond, always prioritising feeling over formula. Joining him on Saturday 7 Nov:

Jelena Popowitch - a staple of Rijeka’s club scene who likes her grooves playful, her bass lines dirty, and her genre boundaries blurry.

Legalize Lambada - Vedran brings his vinyl-only label’s punk spirit to the booth, blending street soul, disco, deep house, Italo, and techno.

Two nights curated by us to kick off the new season. See you in the thick of it.

Mali Barbs Presents: John Talabot

We’re beyond excited to announce our first guest of the new season at Mali Barbarellas. Known for his open-minded approach to electronic music and his instinctive, boundary-pushing sets, John Talabot has carved out a sound entirely his own. Joining him on the night:

Kim Ono - a genre-fluid vinyl purist, her collection moves effortlessly between club sounds of every speed

Martin Branilović - veteran Shazamer, second-hand 7” digger, and free radio lover from northern Croatia

We’re pleased to announce the full 2026 programme for Mali Barbarellas.

This season, we’re bringing a selection of collaborators from across the local scene, each bringing their own sound, energy and community to the club, plus five nights curated by Mali Barbs.

The programme is intentionally varied, but the foundation always remains the same: the focus is on the music, the dancefloor and the experience. No photos.

Lineups for all nights will be announced soon.
